VHREF to Host Marketing & Public Relations Webinar
On January 12 the Virginia Hospital Research & Education Foundation (VHREF) will host a webinar entitled “Making Your Health System’s Vision Memorable and Results Driven.” This presentation is directed at health care marketing communications professionals. Traditionally, a marketing communications department’s mission is to improve the image of the institution or increase the number of patients/procedures at the institution. One of the critical activities that lead to success in health care is the implementation and understanding of the CEOs vision. The speakers will present an example of how Iowa Health System, used marketing communications to communicate the CEOs vision and the improvements that followed.
As new regulations and cost reduction initiatives come to the forefront, marketing communications can play a vital role in improving patient outcomes, the health of hospital staff, proper utilization and sustainability initiatives. Quality improvement is a hot button across the country. Also discussed will be marketing’s role in changing the behavior of an organization and influencing patient outcomes and efficiency, again using Iowa Health System as an example. Physician relations is critical to any hospital. The program will present new and innovative ways to subtly tighten the bond between your organization and the physicians that feed it.
