The Virginia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations is dedicated to advancing effective healthcare communications, marketing and strategic planning through the provision of networking and educational opportunities while maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics.
The Virginia Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations will create a stimulating environment for the learning and sharing of resources; initiate new creative services that are valuable to its members; and provide a process for long-term leadership direction and membership growth.

Individuals who are employed by hospitals, hospital associations, healthcare providers, long term care facilities, home health agencies, community health associations, health insurance industries, health maintenance organizations, and other public relations and marketing professionals who serve healthcare providers in the Commonwealth of Virginia and its bordering states and have major or continuing responsibilities for marketing and public relations are eligible for membership. Special student membership status is also available for those pursuing a course of study in marketing or mass communications with a demonstrated interest in a career in healthcare marketing and public relations.

Opportunities for committee membership and participation are limited only by your level of interest. Once you have joined, you will receive more information on what committees are available, and opportunities for additional involvement, including the fast-track to officer!
Your membership entitles you to a membership directory, so your peers and seasoned resources are as far away as your telephone or desk top. Also, two educational conferences each year provide members with unlimited opportunities to meet and discuss issues, projects or concerns on a face to face, professional to professional level.
